IHC directs ICT admin to decide PTI request for protest

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued order on a petition of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) seeking permission to hold a procession in federal capital.

The court said that the application of PTI would be considered as new as tomorrow the procession is not practically possible. It instructed the district administration to decide the application for permission of protest procession on any appropriate place till July 29, with reasons.

It said that the petitioner has prayed the court to grant permission of protest in F-9 Park and has assured that the procession would be peaceful. Advocate General Islamabad has stated that there is section-144 imposed in capital for two months.
