ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday constituted 10 single benches and five division benches under its new duty roster, approved by Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and issued by the Registrar’s Office.
According to the new roster, no special division bench for hearing tax cases has been included this week. All judges will hear cases in single benches, while the five division benches will take up civil, criminal, tax and other matters.
The first division bench will comprise Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Shahrukh Arjumand.
The second bench will consist of Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, while the third will comprise Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Muhammad Asif.
The fourth division bench will consist of Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Umair Majid Malik, and the fifth will comprise Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas and Justice Ayaz Shaukat.
It may be recalled that the special division bench for tax cases was initially formed by withdrawing single-bench cases from
Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan. Following Justice Babar Sattar’s transfer, different judges subsequently became part of the special bench.
