ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday sought report from Capital Development Authority (CDA) regarding the early construction of Lawyers Complex in Islamabad.
The court asked the CDA to submit the documents related to the construction of the complex. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the case related to the matter.
At the outset of hearing, Deputy Attorney General adopted the stance that the CDA had to sponsor the funds in this regard.
The official of law ministry said that the ministry would send the summary to the government once the CDA completes its work. The law ministry, however, had no connection with reimbursement of funds, he said.
At this, the court instructed the CDA officials to produce all record before it. The court said that the work on the project needed to be expedited. The chief justice remarked that the tendering of the project had been completed but the contract sign was still awaited. The further hearing of the case was then adjourned till December 8.
