MULTAN: The district administration demolished illegal structures and retrieved public land during an anti-encroachment operation at the General Bus Stand and Vehari Chowk on Friday.
The operation was carried out on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Dr Faisal Saleem under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Social Services Mohsin Nisar and Assistant Commissioner City Mukarram Sultan.
Field teams demolished illegal constructions on the spot to clear public land of encroachments.
The deputy commissioner said illegal encroachments and occupation of public land would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He directed that the operation against encroachments continue without interruption and that indiscriminate action be taken against violators.
He said the district administration was following a zero-tolerance policy to facilitate public movement and protect government property.
