FAISALABAD:The Labour Department has directed the industrial units to ensure minimum wages of Rs 32,000 per month at their units.
Director Labour Welfare West Ghulam Shabeer Kaliar said here on Thursday that the Government of the Punjab had issued notification of minimum wages in the province; now it was a duty of the industrial and trade units to ensure implementation of the notification.
He said that the department had also launched an awareness campaign in this regard while meetings with owners of factories, shops and trader organisations were also being held in this regard.
