KHANEWAL:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Salman Khan Lodhi said that work has been started to improve infrastructure under the beautification plan of the ongoing Punjab Cities Programme started with the help of World Bank.
During his visit of different sites of the programme here on Thursday, the deputy commissioner said that all possible resources were being utilized to improve infrastructure and beauty of the city.
He said that the repairing of roads, parks and green belts would be made under the project.
He said that new bus stand, auto-rickshaw stand and cart stands would be established at Lahore Mor to facilitate masses and also resolve traffic related issues.
He directed officers concerned to build boundary wall of goods transport point at Jahania Bypass. He said that different projects were being completed by the municipal corporation in Khanewal under the Punjab Cities Program. He said that Khanewal has been added in the program which is a gift for the local people by the government.
The DC Salman Khan Lodhi said that work would be started on the new projects from the month of June.
