LAHORE:The concluding ceremony of an inter-collegiate Naat contest was held on Friday, under the auspices of the Unique Group of Institutions (UGI) and Aiwan-e-Iqbal jointly.
According to the spokesperson for institution, various Naat contests were held including two in junior category, one in senior category and two in most senior category.
The concluding ceremony was chaired by UGI Chairman Abdul Mannan Khurram, while special guests of the ceremony included Principal Samanabad College for Women Prof Halima Afridi and Rector Imperial College Prof Dr Tahira Mughal were presen. All three addressed students and participants in the concluding ceremony.
Senior Warden from Traffic Police Department Fahmida Zeeshan also attended the ceremony and mesmerised the audience by presenting a Naat.
Judges at the Naat contest were included known Naat Khwan and scholar Syed Naveed Qamar, Safdar Ali Shakoori and Prof Aneesa Fatima. At the end of the ceremony, the Naat contest winners were given cash prizes, certificates and shields.
Unique Group Vice Chairman Afeef Ashraf Siddiqui, Rector Prof Amjad Ali Khan, Director Unique Group Prof Waseem Anwar Chaudhry, Manager Promotions, Sports and Admin Prof Riazul Haq, teachers, staff members and a large number of students attended the ceremony.
