SARGODHA:Inter-district Rescue Challenge competitions kicked off under the auspices of Punjab
Emergency Service, at Rescue 1122 Station near Aziz Bhatti Town Khushab road here on Thursday.
Regional Emergency Officer (Rescue-1122) Dr Fawad Shahzad Mirza along with District Emergency Officer Mazhar Shah inaugurated the competitions, says a press release issued here on Thursday.
The teams of Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue-1122 from four districts including Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar were participating in challenge event. On the occasion, Regional Emergency Officer Rescue-1122 Dr Fawad Shahzad Mirza said that 1122 was engaged in serving the people without any discrimination so citizens were contacts with Rescue-1122 to which responded on time.
District Emergency Officer Rescue-1122 Dr Mazhar Shah said the purpose of conducting rescue challenge competition between the four districts across the division was to select the best team of the division for the 12th National Rescue Challenge which would be held at the Punjab Emergency Services Academy, Lahore.
The Inter-district Challenge competitions include Trauma Challenge (timely medical aid and rehabilitation of the injured competition), Firefight Challenge (competition to overcome on fire),
Deep Well Rescue Challenge (competition to extract victims in a deep well), Water Rescue and Swimming Challenge (water trapped/searching and rehabilitation of drowning people Competition) Height Rescue, evacuating people trapped in high-rise buildings. In the competitions, all teams would perform their performance within a given time frame under a mock devised story.
