Sargodha: An inter-collegiate Girls Table Tennis tournament was organised by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sargodha at Government Associate College for Women, Mela Mandi, with teams from various public and private colleges across the district participated on Monday.
The tournament’s chief guest was Madam Alvina Bashir , while BISE Sargodha official Muhammad
Waqas Butt introduced the chief guest to the players. After a series of thrilling and competitive matches, Superior Girls College secured first position, followed by Reader Girls College in second place, while Government College for Women, Chandni Chowk, finished third.
Speaking to the players on the occasion, Alvina Bashir said that sports play a vital role in the personality development of youth. She said such competitions not only improve physical health but also promote discipline, patience and teamwork.
She appreciated the efforts of BISE Sargodha for promoting sports activities among students. Alvina Bashir also lauded the leadership of Commissioner Sargodha and Secretary BISE Sargodha , saying that under their guidance the education board is achieving notable success not only in academics but also in sports.
