Inter-Regional Volleyball Championship Talent Hunt concluded

PESHAWAR:The Inter- Regional Volleyball Boys Championship concluded with Peshawar defeating Bannu in the final by 3-2.

The event was jointly organised by the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pak Army.

The five-day Inter-Regional Volleyball Championship Talent Hunt by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government and Pakistan Army concluded on Monday.

Peshawar team declared winner.

Eight teams from different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated in the event.

Commander Peshawar Corps Lieutenant General Hasan Azhar Hayat was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the competition.

Peshawar’s team defeated Bannu’s team 3-2 in a sensational match.

The players of both the teams faced each other and the best match won the hearts of the fans.

A large number of school children and people participated to watch the match. The fans appreciated the good performance of the players. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa military officials including senior officers from KP govt also participated.

The chief guest gave away cash prize
s, medals and trophies to the winning and runner-up teams at the end of the game.

Talent Hunt Program 2023-24 was organized in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the special instructions of Corps Commander Peshawar.

Twenty players who have shown the best performance in the competitions will be selected and sent to three teams under 16, under 18 and under 21.

The players selected by the Pakistan Army will be trained by qualified coaches.

The selected players will be given 45 thousand rupees per month by the Pakistan Army for six months, while after the camp, 15 thousand rupees will be given per month until the National Championship.

“We are grateful to the Pakistan Army for organizing this mega event for us and making the competitions four moons,” players said

The aim of these efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and the Pakistan Army is to bring positive change in the country’s conditions, and the splendour of the sports field will be restored.

The participants described the initiatives taken by the Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa government and the Pakistan Army as an important step towards a healthy society, which will provide the youth with the best opportunities to move forward.
