ISLAMABAD:COMSTECH-the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation has planned to arrange a two-day International Workshop and Exhibition “Research Commercialization: Challenges and Opportunities” from June 14-15.
According to an official of COMSTECH, the workshop will revolve around the major themes including The Political Economy of Research, Innovation Landscape, Bridging the Research and Investment Gap, and Commercialization: What does business want?
The academia, engineers, scientists, innovators, researchers, business community, policy makers in government and research and development organizations will participate in the event.
The objective behind the workshop are focusing researchers towards the challenges and opportunities of commercialization of research, establishing Industry-Academia symbiotic linkage and attracting investors and business community for commercialization of innovative and cutting edge technologies.
The experts including Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid from Malaysia, Dr. Orkun Hasekioglu and Professor Dr. Mustafa Guzel from Turkey, Dr. Samir Hoodboy from Karachi, Prof. Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan, Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Dr. Nadeem ul Haq and Dr. Zain Ul Abdin from Islamabad will share their expert views on the occasion.
