LAHORE: Irish women cricket team reached Lahore on its maiden tour to Pakistan and were warmly welcomed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials at the Allama Iqbal International Airport early Sunday morning. Laura Delany-led Irish team is scheduled to play three ODIs and as many T20Is between November 4 and November 16 at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore (GSL).

The three ODIs, part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-2025, will be played on November 4, 6 and 9 and these will be followed by three T20Is on November 12, 14 and 16. All matches will be played at the iconic GSL.

The Irish women will start training from Monday. Ireland is the fourth international team to tour Pakistan in 2022 after Australia, West Indies and England Men’s team visited Pakistan early this year.

The PCB has waived ticket fee for the matches and entry for the cricket fans will be free at the GSL.

PCB expects big crowds to turn up and watch the matches.
