Islamabad admin conducts operation against encroachment, begging

ISLAMABAD:Islamabad administration here on Wednesday conducted an operation against price rise, encroachment, dengue SOPs violations and professional begging on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon.

According to an ICT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Tabasum, Assistant Commissioners conducted inspections at 108 locations regarding price hikes, in which a fine of Rs. 18,000 was imposed, three shops were sealed, five people were arrested and transferred to the police station, and 25 professional beggars were also arrested.

The Operation was also conducted against encroachment, price hikes and polythene bags of more than 5 kg.

Further, four illegal petrol filling agencies and three illegal LPG filling stations were sealed, and four persons were arrested and shifted to police stations.

Meanwhile, three shops were sealed for violating anti-dengue SOPs.
