ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has introduced a special facility for college and university students, allowing them to obtain motorcycle driving licences without completing the mandatory 42-day learner waiting period from November 1 to 30, 2026.
According to an ITP official, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan said the initiative was aimed at making the driving licence process easier and more convenient for students across the federal capital.
She said eligible college and university students could avail themselves of the relaxation in the 42-day learner period and obtain their motorcycle driving licences on the spot after completing the required formalities.
The CTO, Kianat, also informed citizens that they could now receive their driving licences at their doorsteps through TCS courier service instead of making repeated visits to traffic police offices.
She said the home delivery facility would save citizens time and make the licensing process more convenient.
Kainat urged students to take advantage of the special facility during November and encouraged citizens to obtain valid driving licences before riding motorcycles or driving vehicles.
