Burewala:Assistant Commissioner Jawad Hussain Malik on Monday praised Jamia Hanfia for its contributions to religious and contemporary education, saying the institution has brought distinction to Burewala through its academic achievements at the national level.
He was addressing the concluding session of a two-day alumni gathering organised to mark 40 years of the institution’s educational and training services. The event was presided over by Jamia Hanfia head and Pakistan Islamic Education Board President Maulana Qari Muhammad Tayyab Hanafi.
Malik said Jamia Hanfia students had secured positions in matriculation and FA examinations under the Multan Board for 24 consecutive years, describing the achievement as a matter of pride for Burewala. He termed Maulana Tayyab Hanafi an asset to the nation, emphasised that patriotism was an integral part of faith and acknowledged the positive role of religious seminaries in society. He later distributed shields among the alumni.
Addressing the gathering, Maulana Tayyab Hanafi urged graduates to follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), uphold their religious values while serving in their respective professions, respect the country’s laws and use social media responsibly.
The event was attended by educationists, religious scholars and a large number of former students serving in the Pakistan Army, police and various public and private-sector organisations across the country, including Professor Muhammad Saeed Chaudhry, Director of Schools for the Punjab School Education Department’s Multan Division, and other distinguished guests.
