FAISALABAD: Elsewhere in the country, Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated in the district on Sunday, October 9 with full religious fervour and enthusiasm. To mark the event, city mosques and buildings of various public and private sectors departments have been decorated tastefully.
The day will dawn with special prayers and Durood-o-Salaam in almost all city mosques after Fajr prayers. Milad processions would be taken out from various parts of the city which would merge in the main Milad procession that would be taken out from the Mausoleum of Muhaddis-e-Azam Pakistan Hazrat Allama Sardar Ahmad Qadri Rizvi at Markazi Sunni Rizvi Masjid Jhang Bazaar under the supervision of Sahibzada Qazi Pir Muhammad Faiz Rasool Haidari Rizvi Chairman Tehreek-e-Ahle Sunnat Pakistan. The participants of Milad processions, carrying banners and placards, would march on various city roads.
They will recite Durood-o-Salaam and chant slogans to celebrateEid Miladun Nabi (PBUH). Later, the participants will throng Chowk Clock Tower where Markazi Milad Committee will hold a big public gathering. In this regard, the police department has made tight security arrangements by deputing additional force to maintain law & order in the city besides providing safe and secured atmosphere to the Milad processions. Police spokesman said that 158 Milad processions would be taken out, in addition to 34 Mahafil in various parts of Faisalabad on 12th of Rabiul Awwal (Sunday). He said that 2642 police officials would perform security duty including 10 Inspectors, 49 Sub Inspectors (SIs), 275 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs), 203 Head Constables and 2015 Constables whereas 5 SPs and 14 DSPs would supervise the security arrangements across the district.
Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras were also installed to keep an eye on the movement of suspects, he said. Meanwhile, traffic police have also finalized necessary arrangements to facilitate Milad procession participants on Sunday, he added. A spokesman for the Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) said that WASA had finalized its arrangements to provide trouble free water supply and sewerage service.
