MIRPUR AJK: Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKLF) Central Vice Chairman Altaf Hussain Wani has called for an immediate independent international probe into mass-rape incidents by the occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Wani, in a statement, highlighted the heinous crimes committed by the occupation forces, including the use of power, harassment, and sexual abuse, as tactics to suppress the Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination.
He emphasized the vulnerability of Kashmiri women, citing the Kunan and Poshpora mass rape as a glaring example of Indian brutality. Despite the lapse of 33 years since the incident, “justice remains elusive for the victims”, he added.
Wani urged world human rights organizations to intervene and hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
