SUKKUR:Divisional Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi on Monday has said that the School Education and Revenue Departments will work jointly under a clear and coordinated strategy to improve educational standards, ensure the provision of essential facilities in schools, ensure proper utilization of funds, and address other key issues across the division.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of the Regional Oversight Committee at the Committee Room of the Commissioner Sukkur Office. He announced that an important division-level meeting would soon be convened to further improve the mechanism and review matters related to the education sector.
During the meeting, a request regarding the change of names of Government Boys Primary School New Lo Jatoi and Government Boys Primary School Dafar Jatoi, located in Taluka Pano Aqil, was discussed in detail. It was decided that an official letter regarding the proposed name changes would be issued soon.
He stated that the departments concerned would work together to improve the educational environment, provide furniture and other necessary facilities in schools, increase student enrollment, ensure proper utilization of funds, and extend support to headmasters at every level.
He said that a comprehensive review of all these matters would be conducted during the upcoming division-level meeting, followed by necessary measures to improve the overall education system.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Muhammad Aamir Ansari, Director Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Hafiz Shahabuddin Indhar, Director School Education Primary Ali Akbar Kalhoro, Additional Deputy Commissioner Majid Ali Mako, Chief Monitoring Officer Saqib Siddiqui, and other officers of the relevant departments.
