MUZAFFARABAD:Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has said that people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) are being deprived of their basic human and civil rights.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Uzair said that ruthless Indian government was engaged in conspiracies to change the status of the Muslim majority state into minority.

While expressing concern and grief over the deteriorating situation in IIOJ&K, Ghazali said that the usurper government of India had deprived the Kashmiri people of their basic human rights.

He maintained that youngsters are being killed in fake encounters and many others were jailed under black laws AFSPA, POTA, TADA and NIA.

Ghazali was of the view that India has pursued Israeli colonial settlement plan in IIOJ&K and millions of fake domiciles have been issued in this regard.

He said that issuing domicile certificates to Indian citizens is a nefarious plan to snatch the identity, rights and land of Kashmiris.

“15 million citizens of IIOJ&K were forced to live in the worst conditions of fear, terror and deprivation and have faced the restrictions on freedom of expression, free movement, political, religious and social activities.

Uzair Ahmad Ghazali appealed the international community including UN, EU, OIC and others to take stern notice of Indian atrocities in IIOJ&K.

He also appealed the Azad Kashmir government, political, religious parties and the people to plan a coordinated and effective strategy for the ongoing freedom movement in IIOJ&K.
