MUZAFFARGARH:A five-member Korean delegation led by its head, Lee Heungsu, paid a visit here to review flood-hit areas on Thursday.
They called on Commissioner DG Khan division Liaquat Ali Chatha in the meeting and assured of maximum support for helping the affected people through all-out resources.
The meeting was held at DC Office and discussed in detail about mechanism of restoring flood affectees at the earliest since the harsh winter made survival difficult as time went by.
Liaquat Ali Chatha said the Punjab government reserved billions for compensating the affectees. He said exactly 61 humans lost their lives during the devastation.
He said about one billion payment was made to the flood-hit people. He said the payment was being made in cash through Punjab Bank. He said the money worth Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 400,000 was being offered to the victims to compensate for their losses.
