Peshawar: Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi on Friday said terrorism would be confronted with full force and no compromise would be made on the protection of lives and property.
The CM made the remarks after offering Friday prayers at the Civil Secretariat mosque along with the Chief Secretary.
He said terrorists could not intimidate the people and government of the province, adding that the fight against terrorism would continue until the menace was eliminated.
On the occasion, he received a detailed briefing at the Chief Secretary’s Office on the overall security situation in the province and issued necessary directives to the relevant authorities.
The CM visited the Civil Secretariat mosque amid security threats reported against government installations, particularly mosques, for Friday.
