PESHAWAR:The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has tightened procedures for the release of government funds, barring their entry into the SAP system without prior approval from the competent authority.
The department has issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) to regulate the entry and release of funds through the SAP system and ensure compliance with the prescribed rules.
Under the new procedures, officials cannot enter funds into the system without prior approval or advice from the competent authority.
The department has also warned of disciplinary action against officers and staff found responsible for delays, negligence or violations of rules in the release and entry of funds.
