MULTAN:A labourer was killed while six others sustained injuries in a roof collapse incident here on Tuesday. According to Rescue-1122, the incident took place near NCBA University on Northern Bypass where the roof of an under-construction plaza collapsed, causing death to a labourer and injuries to six others. Rescue 1122 teams reached the site within three minutes of receiving the report and launched a search and rescue operation amid fears that several labourers were trapped under the rubble. According to eyewitnesses, eight labourers were working on the building at the time of the incident. Rescue teams have so far recovered seven workers, including six injured and one dead, who were shifted to the Nishtar Hospital. A search operation was underway to recover the eighth worker.
