MULTAN:Several workers are feared trapped under the debris after the roof of an under-construction plaza collapsed near NCBA University on Northern Bypass on Tuesday, Rescue 1122 said.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the site within three minutes of receiving the report and immediately launched a search and rescue operation. According to people present at the scene, between 10 and 15 labourers were working at the site when the incident occurred.
Ten Rescue 1122 vehicles are participating in the operation, including five ambulances, three rescue motorcycles, one rescue vehicle and one fire vehicle. District Emergency Officer Dr Hussain Mian is supervising the ongoing operation to locate and rescue any persons trapped beneath the rubble.
