JAUHARABAD: Unknown suspects killed a lady health worker of Khushab Health Department by slitting her throat while she was sleeping in her house in the limits of Katha Saghral police station on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victim, Kausar Parveen had returned home at 11 PM last night after completing her duty at the Majlis-e-Eza (mourning gathering) in an Imambargah.
Late at night, unknown suspects attacked the sleeping woman and killed her by cutting her throat with a weapon before fleeing the scene.
Katha Sughral police reached the location and recovered the body which has been taken into custody.
Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
