Lahore:Lahore Development Authority (LDA) teams conducted a major operation on Jail Road and in various localities of the city, sealing two dozen showrooms and a total of 136 properties for illegal commercial use here on Wednesday.
Under the guidance of DG LDA Tahir Farooq, LDA teams carried out enforcement actions in multiple areas, including Gulberg, New Garden Town, Faisal Town, Sabzazar, OPF, and Johar Town. The operation resulted in the sealing of 29 properties in Gulberg, New Garden Town, and Faisal Town, 40 properties in Sabzazar, and 45 properties in OPF and Johar Town.
The sealed properties included showrooms, private schools, offices, restaurants, salons, grocery stores, bakeries, shops, and other commercial establishments. Prior to the operation, these properties had been issued multiple notices for illegal commercial use.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Town Planner Asad-ul-Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali. DG LDA Tahir Farooq emphasized that actions agains
t illegal commercial buildings and defaulters of commercial fees will continue without discrimination to ensure that the city’s planning regulations are strictly adhered to.
