LAHORE:The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Tuesday sealed more than 40 properties in an extensive effort to combat unlawful constructions and unauthorized commercial operations.
On directions of Commissioner Lahore and DG Lahore Development Authority (LDA), teams conducted operations in various areas, leading to the sealing of over 40 properties. A crackdown on non-payment of commercialization fees in Allama Iqbal Town resulted in the sealing of 20 properties.
The Director Town Planning oversaw the operations targeting encroachments in Allama Iqbal Town, action on Kacha Jail Road and Qaid-e-Azam Town. On Kacha Jail Road, illegal structures were demolished by LDA teams, while many properties were cleared of encroachments.
In Qaid-e-Azam Town, a total of 15 properties, including shops, wedding halls, private stores, and food outlets, were sealed due to non-payment of commercialization fees. The operations were carried out by Director Town Planning Ali Abbas.
