LAHORE: In a decisive move against commercial fee defaulters, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed another 18 properties in the provincial capital on Friday.
On directions of Director General LDA, Tahir Farooq, the LDA teams have been actively targeting properties across various localities to ensure compliance with commercial fee regulations. In recent operations, conducted in the areas of Subzazar, Allama Iqbal Town, and Mustafa Town, resulted in the sealing of various properties for failing to pay their due commercial fees.
The sealed properties include a general store, private academy, shopping center, cloth store, dental clinic, hair salon, and medical store, among others. These properties owe millions of rupees in outstanding commercial fees.
The operation was overseen by Chief Town Planner One, Asad-ul-Zaman, with the Director of Town Planning Zone Two leading the enforcement efforts. Prior to sealing the properties, multiple notices were issued to the defaulters.
The operation saw substant
ial participation from the enforcement wing and a heavy police contingent. This crackdown was part of LDA’s ongoing commitment to addressing illegal constructions and ensuring the payment of commercial fees across the city.
