LESCO Chief visits Eastern Circle

LAHORE: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Chief Executive Engineer Shahid Haider along with Director (Customer Services) Sarwar Mughal and Chief Engineer (Operation) Abbas Ali here Tuesday visited Eastern Circle to review the circle’s performance.

Superintending Engineer (Eastern Circle) Umar Bilal gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Executive.

On this occasion, the CEO directed the officers concerned to reduce the line losses and speed up the recovery from dead defaulters. He also reviewed the arrangements made for the monsoon season and said that the best facilities should be provided to the customers. He warned that any officer or employee found involved in electricity theft or corruption would not be spared under any circumstances and they would have to face strict disciplinary action. He said that LESCO is striving hard to provide an uninterrupted and quality supply of electricity to its customers.

It is to mention that on the direction of its chief, the LESCO continues its anti-power theft ope
rations against electricity thieves across the region round the clock.

In order to speed up these operations, special teams also started in all the eight circles of the company at night time. During the operations, domestic, commercial and industrial connections are being checked.
