LESCO dismisses two officials

LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has dismissed two of its officials on the charges of lectricity theft/corruption, the company spokesperson disclosed this to media here Thursday.He added that Muhammad Shahzad Lineman Grade-I and Aqeel Abbas Commercial Assistant Revenue Office Township in Engineer Town Sub Division had been dismissed by the authority after the charges of electricity theft and corruption were proved against them in the departmental inquiry.

He mentioned that according to the instructions of Chief Executive Officer Engineer Shahid Haider, strict action being taken against the consumers and officials involved in corruption/electricity theft.

The LESCO Chief said that electricity thieves were enemies of the country and the nation. He vowed to eliminate corruption/electricity theft from the LESCO region.
