MULTAN:Secretary Local Government (LG) for Southern Punjab instructed to expedite the Clean Multan drive during his surprise visit to the streets of the city on Friday.
Secretary Muhammad Amin Awaisi said on the occasion that the performance of Waste Management Companies was being measured across the Southern belt of the province on daily basis.
He directed to pay collective attention to the cleaning of commercial and residential areas.
He felicitated sanitary workers for holding good performances during the ongoing PSL event here.
He said PSL was a global event and everyone should do work shoulder-to-shoulder to make the event successful.
Giving a briefing to the Secretary, Manager of operation of MWMC, Anwar-ul-Haq said the Clean Multan drive was continued from the first of February.
At least four highways were being cleaned every day, he said.
An awareness campaign was being run for the success of the drive-through walks and seminars with the help at the community level, he maintained.
