Sargodha: Director Planning and Evaluation and Monitoring Officer Livestock Department Dr.Atiya Bukhari visited Sargodha Division on Saturday to review the performance of veterinary institutions and services on the directions of Livestock Secretary Ahmad Aziz Tarar.
Director Livestock Sargodha Division Dr.Sajid Iqbal and Additional Director Livestock Sargodha Dr.Nayla Maqsood accompanied her during the visit.
The institutions inspected included Civil Veterinary Hospital Noori Gate Sargodha,Civil Veterinary Hospital Shahpur Saddar,Civil Veterinary Hospital Sahiwal,Civil Veterinary Hospital Sillanwali and the Mobile Veterinary Dispensary (MVD) Sillanwali.
During the inspection,Dr.Atiya reviewed feedback received from farmers and livestock owners,staff attendance,X-ray and ultrasound (USG) facilities,operation theater services and maintenance of equipment.
She also examined the functioning of outdoor general OPD services and breeding facilities,particularly those being provided under the HT Project.
The MVD route plan,services being provided to livestock owners and maintenance of equipment were also reviewed.
Additional Director Livestock,Dr.Nayla Maqsood said the overall activities and services at the inspected institutions were found satisfactory and in accordance with the required standards.
She said relevant officers were issued necessary directions wherever required to undertake further improvements and ensure effective service delivery.
