FAISALABAD:The police claimed to have recovered a minor girl and arrested her paymaster on charge of torturing the maid.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, City Police Officer (CPO) Usman Akram Gondal said that 9-year-old Noor Saadia was working as a maid in the house of one Hasan in People’s Colony where accused Hasan and his wife Madiha had reportedly tortured the maid. Receiving complaint, special police team was constituted under supervision of SP Madina Town Division Hafiz Kamran Asghar who not only succeeded in recovering the girl but it also arrested the accused Hasan whereas raids were still continuing for arrest of second accused Madiha.
He said that the accused was locked behind bars while the girl was sent to hospital for medical examination. Further investigation was under progress.
