BAHAWALPUR: A man suffered electricity shock on an electricity pole when he was fixing a technical fault in Mari Sheikh Shajra area on suburb of Bahawalpur which caused his death.
The soureces in the Punjab Emergency Service Department, Rescue 1122 said that they received information about presence of a body hanged with an electricity pole in Mari Sheikh Shajra area on subrub of Bahawalpur. The rescue teams rushed to the scene.
According to the details, a private electrician was engaged in fixing a technical fault on electricity pole in Mari Sheikh Shajra area when he suffered electricty shock which caused his death.
The deceased was identified as Bashir, a resident of nearby village Rangpur. He was invited by a local dweller to fix technical fault to supply electricity to his home. The electricity supply of the main transmission line of the area was suspended by MEPCO Sub-Division Khanqah Sharif in order to remove the body from the electricity pole.
