ATTOCK: A man was gunned down by unidentified assailants in the village Bassiya in the limits of Hazro Police station on Wednesday.
The police said a man namely Qasim Riaz, 23, a resident of village Fourmilli was going into corn fields when unknown assailants hiding there showered bullets over him. As a result, he died on the spot, the police added.
The assailants managed to flee from the scene successfully. The body after autopsy at the tehsil headquarters hospital was handed over to the family.
The police registered a case against unknown persons and started an investigation.
