LAYYAH:A 40-year-old man was killed and another injured when a motorcycle hit a pedestrian on Ladhana Pir Jagi Road near Chak No. 168/TDA, rescuer said.
The pedestrian Muhammad Afzal suffered a head injury and died on the spot, while bike rider Muhammad Umar, 22, sustained a cut on his head.
Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured man and shifted him to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family refused to have his body shifted to the hospital and took it home in their own vehicle, Rescue 1122 added.
