Bourewala:A man allegedly killed his sister-in-law in a knife attack after breaking into her house in the limits of Gaggu Mandi police station, police said.
According to police, the accused, Tayyab, along with five unidentified accomplices, forcibly entered the house of his sister-in-law, Sabba, and stabbed her repeatedly.
Rescue officials were called to the scene and shifted the injured woman to a Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Police said the victim had reportedly been divorced a few days earlier, and the attack might be linked to the divorce. However, the motive behind the killing has yet to be confirmed.
A first information report (FIR) was registered on the complaint of the victim’s parents. Police launched an investigation and constituted multiple teams to arrest the fleeing accused and his accomplices. Further investigation was underway.
