Muzaffargarh: A man allegedly killed his wife for ‘honour’, in the jurisdiction of Sadr Alipur Police Station on Wednesday. According to police, the incident occurred in Damar Wala Janubi area, where one Irfan, allegedly killed his pregnant wife by slitting her throat on suspicion of bad character. The victim was the mother of three children.
After committing the crime, the accused concealed the body in a sugarcane field. On the complaint of victim’s brother, police registered a case and arrested the accused. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to his crime.
On the lead, the police recovered the woman’s body from the sugarcane field and shifted it for medico-legal examination. Further investigation was underway.
