Attock: A 22-year-old man allegedly opened fire at his residence in Manwara Abad, Hazro tehsil, killing his wife before taking his own life, while his mother-in-law and sister sustained injuries in the incident, Rescue 1122 officials said on Sunday.
According to Rescue 1122, Ehsanullah, son of Nazir, allegedly opened fire inside his house, resulting in the death of his 22-year-old wife. His 40-year-old mother-in-law and 18-year-old sister were also injured in the firing.
On receiving information, police and Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene and initiated rescue operations. Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured women at the spot before shifting them to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Hazro, for further medical treatment.
Police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances and motive behind the incident.
