SARGODHA: District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem on Tuesday took notice of a murder incident within the jurisdiction of Shahpur Saddar Police Station and sought a report from the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Shahpur.
According to a police spokesperson, local police were present at the crime scene and investigating the incident from all possible angles. Crime Scene Unit and forensic teams were collecting evidence from the site. Preliminary investigations suggested that the victim, Liaqat, had allegedly eloped with and married the wife of the accused, Irfan, about a year ago. The DPO has constituted special teams to arrest the suspect, who will be apprehended soon, the spokesperson added.
