Burewala:An Additional and Sessions Court in Burewala awarded various sentences to the accusedin a murder case, sentencing the main accused, Muzammil Hussain, to death for killing Muhammad Shehzad.
Additional and Sessions Judge Burewala Shaukat Ali also ordered Muzammil Hussain to pay Rs2 million as compensation to the heirs of the deceased. The court sentenced another accused, Akhtar Hussain, to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment under Section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code, along with a fine of Rs 50,000. He was also ordered to pay Rs 967,619 as compensation to the injured person.
The court further ordered accused Abdul Ghaffar to pay Rs967,619 as fine and Rs 25,000 as
Daman, while Ehsan was ordered to pay Rs80,000, Muhammad Farooq Rs 65,000 and Waqar Aziz
to pay Rs25,000 as compensation to the injured persons.
Police sources said three of the accused were already in custody, while four others, who had been released on bail, were taken into custody from the court premises after the verdict.
