HYDERABAD:A man was shot dead near Government College University, Hyderabad, on Friday reportedly over a marital dispute in the limits of Phuleli police station.
The SHO of PS Phuleli Abdul Karim Abbassi said the slain Ghulam Murtaza Chandio, 45, was killed near the temporary camps set up along the bank of Phuleli canal. According to him, Chandio married a woman from Larkana some time ago
and that he was also dealing with a court case in that regard.
He told that a police team was being sent to Larkana so that the woman’s family members could be brought under investigation.
The body was shifted to Liaquat University Hospital for postmortem. The incident’s FIR has not been lodged so far.
