Quetta:Managing Director of the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA), Tariq Javed Mengal signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Deutsche Gesellschaft fr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTCC) on Monday.
The statement read that this strategic partnership aims to establish Centres of Excellence and Model Technical Training Institutes in Balochistan, transforming the province’s technical education landscape, said a press release.
The signing ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Ms. Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Minister of Education Balochistan, Federal Secretary of Education, and other government officials. This development promises to enhance the skills and employability of Balochistan’s youth.
The Centres of Excellence will focus on industry-led training, research, and innovation, ensuring students acquire skills relevant to the labor market. The Model Technical Training
Institutes will be equipped with modern labs, workshops, and digitized systems.
This initiative is expected to boost economic growth, reduce unemployment, and promote sustainable development in Balochistan. With this MoU, the province is poised to witness a significant leap forward in the technical education of Balochistan .
