MULTAN:The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan Region arrested an assistant director Multan Development Authority (MDA) red-handed while receiving a bribe of Rs10,000 during a raid on Tuesday.
According to an official press release, the operation was conducted under the supervision of Regional Director Anti-Corruption Multan, Basharat Nabi, on the special directions of Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab, Sohail Zafar Chattha.
A team led by Circle Officer Anti-Corruption Multan Imran Javed, under the supervision of a Judicial Magistrate, carried out the raid and arrested Ruksar Ahmed, Assistant Director Estate Management, MDA Multan, while accepting the bribe.
The anti-corruption team recovered the marked currency from the accused and took it into custody in accordance with legal procedures.
A case was registered against the accused while further investigations underway.
