Minister criticizes PTI over rampant corruption in KP

Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, on Sunday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over alleged rampant corruption and nepotism, saying that during its tenure, the party had favoured its own people and extended benefits to them in various matters.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that instead of focusing on the key issues of terrorism and development in the province, the provincial government had allegedly extended favours to its close associates.

The minister highlighted the federal government’s responsibility to maintain peace and promote development in the province following the imposition of the emergency.

He also discussed measures for the restoration of peace in the severely terrorism-affected districts of KP.
