BAHAWALPUR:Provincial Minister for Colonies Dr. Muhammad Afzal visited Government Darul Itfal at Islamic Colony Bahawalpur on Monday.
The minister distributed gifts among the children. He appreciated the cleanliness and the facilities provided in the institution.
Deputy Director Social Welfare Bahawalpur Muhammad Uzair said that Social Welfare Department and Finance Department were taking great steps for the orphans and the deprived segment of society.
Superintendent Government Darul Itfal Muhammad Asghar Shaheen briefed the minister that the institution was established in 1902 during the era of Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi and thousands of students have received excellent education and training there.
