MULTAN: Workshop of Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) got functional with engine overhauling of a dumper truck made for the first time within the mechanical engineering unit of the Company.
Earlier, overhauling of the heavy vehicle engines used to be done by private workshops, said official statement issued on Thursday.
The company management paid tribute to the mechanics and workers of the workshop for the remarkable achievements, added the statement.
Manager workshop, Hasan Amjad termed the start of engine overhauling of heavy vehicles a great success. The process would save millions of rupees of the company annually, he said.
The repair work of containers and handcarts was going on in the workshop, while the mobile workshop and punctures of vans were activated already, he said.
He said that the mechanical engineering unit would play its full role for the success of the cleanliness campaign launched with the slogan of “Cleanliness is half faith”.
