SHEIKHUPURA:District Emergency Officer (DEO) Rescue 1122 Engineer Ejaz Ahmed on Friday inaugurated the motorcycle ambulance service in the district Sheikhupura.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rana Shakeel Aslam was the chief guest of the ceremony.
On this occasion, the DC said that Rescue 1122 was a great welfare project of the chief minister Punjab, who was working day and night to protect the lives and property of the people while providing the best services.
He said that with the help of motorbike ambulance service access would be possible even in the densely populated areas and narrow streets in case of emergency, and by providing timely help, precious lives could be saved.
DEO Engineer Rana Ejaz Ahmed said that Sheikhupura had started the motorbike ambulance service with 50 motorbikes.
At the end of ceremony, a motorbike rally was also taken out to create awareness among the people.
