Lahore: A heated exchange between a young man travelling in a car and a group of transgender persons reportedly escalated into a physical altercation in the Defence area,with a video of the incident circulating on social media,here on Saturday.
According to police,the altercation began when the transgender persons allegedly asked the young man for money. Police said the young man allegedly used abusive language and assaulted one of the transgender persons, following which others present at the scene allegedly assaulted him.
A video circulating on social media shows both sides involved in a scuffle.
Police said Defence-B police station took action after receiving information about the incident and initiated proceedings against the parties involved in the altercation.
