Quetta Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch on Thursday inaugurated a solarization project at Jamia Arabia Dar-ul-Tawheed, Ormara, as part of the mega solarization initiative in Gwadar District.
He said that the project is being executed under the auspices of the Energy Department, Government of Balochistan, with the aim of alleviating electricity-related issues and promoting alternative energy by providing solar power facilities to educational and religious institutions.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch stated that the promotion of solar energy is a vital need of the hour.
He remarked that by promoting alternative energy sources, electricity supply could be improved while simultaneously providing relief to the public from rising electricity costs.
He said that the process of providing solar energy facilities to various institutions across Gwadar District is currently underway as part of the Government of Balochistan’s mega solarization program.
